Elizabeth James Counselling is a private therapy clinic that specializes in the provision of evidence-based treatments including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I strive to meet you where you are at, building on your personal strengths, perspectives, and resilience. In a collaborative fashion, I work with you to meet your individual therapeutic goals. I work from a holistic approach by working with you to take care of yourself emotionally, physically and spiritually.

I am also a relationship specialist. My approach gives you the tools you need to break unhealthy relationship patterns. I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the most empirically validated and researched therapy to help couples bond. Research studies find that upon completion of EFT therapy, 70-75% of couples move from conflict and tension to love and connection, and approximately 90% show significant improvements overall in their relationships. Long-term followup studies demonstrate that these results last as well!
